CHS is committed to serving children and families through a range of impactful programs, including fostering, counseling, advocacy, therapy, and adoption services. Drawn to their mission, I joined the Wish Upon a Star event committee for the Big Bend Area in Tallahassee, Florida. As a volunteer, I played a key role in the events by designing compelling graphics for both print and digital platforms, assisting with event logistics, and helping drive donor engagement. I actively participated in committee planning and outreach, contributing to stronger community support and increased visibility for the organization.
Wish Fundraiser
The Wish fundraiser events featured live music, local culinary favorites, and a silent auction, with all proceeds directly supporting CHS programs that empower children and families in Tallahassee.
Over the course of three years, I collaborated with fellow committee members to secure donors and sponsors, collect auction items, and coordinate event logistics. As part of the Communications Subcommittee, I helped develop and execute a marketing plan across social media, email, and print.
I supported the rebranding of the event from Wish Upon a Star to Wish, marking its 10th anniversary. I partnered with the committee and CHS staff to create a new logo and tagline, designing a refreshed, timeless visual identity aligned with the broader CHS brand.
Chef’s Table
I was contacted to design a program and poster for CHS’s final Chef’s Dinner, a high-profile fundraising event attended by key community leaders in Tallahassee. With a tight turnaround, I created print materials that aligned with CHS’s brand guidelines while capturing the tone of this meaningful, farewell event supporting local children and families.
In addition, I designed thank-you letters/postcards for the Chef’s Table Charity Event. Collaborating closely with CHS, I translated their design vision into a playful and polished final product that remained on-brand and made a lasting impression on sponsors and attendees.
